EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A PARTICIPANT

IN THE STEAM BATHING MASTERY CHAMPIONSHIP

«World Sauna Sports Whisking Championship» “EUROPEAN CUP 2025”

I. General criteria.

1. Appearance. Clothing, accessories, physique. Integrity of the image.

2. Presentation. Relevance of information, disclosure of the essence of steaming and the strategy of this program.

3. Esthetics of steaming. Grace, smoothness, musicality, rhythm, artistry, spectacle.

4. Integrity. Compliance with the stated steaming strategy. The condition of the steamer and the client „at the exit”, punctuality.

5. Condition of the steam room. Condition of the steam room, inventory and accessories before and after the procedure. Individual adjustment of the workplace

II. Technical criteria.

6. Physical contact. Massage skills. Quality, quantity, appropriateness.

7. Comfort. Relaxation skills, client’s posture, smoothness and appropriateness of mechanical and thermal loads.

8. Steam. Steam management, rational use, compliance of the amount of steam with the procedure scenario.

9. Warming up. Strategy for warming up the body and individual parts, individual heat accents, variety of heating techniques.

10. Steaming skills. Working with a broom or other steaming means, variety of steaming techniques.

11. Contrast. Contrast therapy, appropriateness of use and quality of execution.

13. Safety. Thermal safety of the client, ergonomics of the Steam Master ventilation.

III. Psychological criteria

14. Emotionality. Emotional mood, contact and resonance of the bath attendant with the client. Positive emotional background.

15. Communication skills. Establishing and maintaining contact with the client, the ability to listen, calm down, relieve tension.

16. Attitude to the client. Ability to sense the client’s mood, responsiveness, non-verbal forms of contact. Feedback during the procedure.

17. Integrity. The inner balance of the bath attendant, concentration on the task at hand.

18. Steam Master’ skill. Charisma.
